Exercise Pulse - Heart Rate & Watch Workout Optimizer app for iPhone and iPad
Developer: Spencer Brown
First release : 03 Aug 2015
App size: 6.04 Mb
Exercise Pulse is the first app directed at optimizing workouts specifically from Apples Apple Watch Workout App! See your heart rate and optimize your workouts! Our heart rate can explain a lot about our workouts — Exercise Pulse calculates your Target Heart Rate and measures how intense/efficient each of your workouts* is, allowing you to optimize future workouts towards your goals.
*Exercise Pulse requires integration with the Health app to read your Date of Birth for your target heart zones, Heart Rate for creating the graphs, and Workouts to know when you were working out to use those Heart Rates from Health*
iPhone App
• View all your workouts, and track the past 7 and 30 workout calories, duration, and distance trends with bar charts
• See your heart rate if you used the Apple Workout app on your Apple Watch, visualize trend lines including white average lines and two red dashed lines indicating where the top and bottom of your target zone is.
• Get Stats on each workout, including Mean,Mode,Max,and Min heart rate — as well as the duration spent within your target zone and each intensity zone
• With the Sleep Pulse app in use on your iPhone, your resting Heart Rate can be tracked and trended over time to watch for decreasing heart rates which may follow being more fit
• Share your graphs with your friends, or fitness coaches so you can work to optimize your workouts
Apple Watch app
• See your past 7 workout calories and durations from the Glance on your Watch
• See your 7 and All Time workout averages — with 7 day graphs available
• See your last selected Heart Rate graph from your workout
*Exercise Pulse is directed towards optimizing and creating trends specifically of your Workouts from the Apple Workout App on your Apple Watch —other workout apps may skew the data or not provide Heart Rate graphs, or stats.*
Exercise Pulse can be used to track all workouts, however heart rate specific graphs and stats like your target heart rate zone tend to be more reliable with aerobic specific workouts (running, cycling, elliptical, etc). With anaerobic workouts (weight lifting, yoga, etc) Exercise Pulse may still be used for tracking workout trends, though heart rate related data may be unreliable.

App crashes while starting on iPhone 6, iOS 9.0.2
Im really liking this app so far lets me see things the activity app does not show or shows with too much other information.
App locks up when you use it on iPhone 6s version 9.1..
Purchased app as a bundle and the app crashes on iPhone and needs updated. Doesnt register correctly on Apple Watch. Dont buy until updated
Didnt know what this app did at first until I really got into reading and seeing what it did! This is what Apple Forgot to add to the Workout app with Apple Watch. The activity apps just shows all daily activity, this actually lets you see only your workout trends. The best part is you can see your heart rate and see where it is in relation to your target heart rate zone based on your age even how intense you exert it during your exercises. I have only seen a couple of workouts but I can see how my heart I am over exerting at certain points which no where else I could see this mapped! Highly recommend this app for runners.
